Closing the Books ..

As we look to close the books on yet another memorable Rocky Bowl, the commissioners would like to thank you for donations to the lucky winners and charity.

Rocky delivers earning to the new Rocky Bowl Champion.  Rocky encourages winners to shout from the Rook Tops "I am the NEW ROCKY BOWL CHAMPION".  No word if G-Chick has done this yet.

  

And for the losers ...  Not much else to say, except, don't be a sore loser.  There is always next year.

 

For you political pundits ...  Just remember, it could be worse.

Commissioner Message

Rocky Bowlers,

We are now down to 6 to 10 people who even gives a crap about the Rocky Bowl as everyone else including myself is out of the money AGAIN.  But what a year it was with new and old Rocky Bowlers paying attention to games that otherwise would be meaningless.  Many of these games were absolutely staggering with last minute scores that changed the outcomes of many games.  I found myself enjoying the Rocky Bowl more this year then in years past.  That is why I hope each and every one of you will look forward to my first email next December welcoming you back to be a Rocky Bowler once again. 


We may have a first this year, if Clemson wins there would be a two time Rocky Bowl winner in G Chick.  The year of the tsunami G won and donated his entire winnings to charity, following the lead of a previous winner Gary Long.  Now if Alabama wins you can be assured the Rocky Bowl is rigged as Jim C a Rocky Bowler for 17 years has never even been near the top of the finishers and somehow is likely to be the big winner of 2016. 


We want to thank all 75 Rocky Bowlers and hope to see you all back for the 2017 year.  The commissioners were delayed in getting all of the information out to the bowlers this year but promise that next year we will be better prepared.  Jim and Doug always the two not so Gooooood Looooking commissioners did an excellent job and promise that next year will be the BEST ever.
I also want to thank Ted and everyone who participated with emails, website posts and recruiting other bowlers, you all are the BEST.

Championship What-If Scenarios ...

For those of you incapable of determining the potential money place winners of the 2016-2017 Rocky Bowl, Let me spell it out for you ...

If Alabama wins as expected ... 

If Clemson pulls off the upset  ... 

The Top 10 Things I learned from the Rocky Bowl 2016-2017

1. The ACC was better than I expected, and the SEC as a whole wasn’t as good as hyped.

2. The Pac-12 was exactly as the media stated, though I didn’t want to believe it… USC and Washington were the only real powerhouse teams in the Pac-12 as I saw it, after the fact.

3. The Rocky Bowl is rigged.

4. The Big 10 as a whole was pretty decent throughout. A pretty even conference really.

5. The Cougs didn’t disappoint, and “Coug’d It” again.

6. The Rocky Bowl is rigged. Tim Thompson always seems to squeak out a few more points than me. I blame Putin.

7. Clemson has a really good shot at Alabama, they looked that good.

8. Ohio State didn’t, and the committee should have probably had Penn State (the Big 10 champs) chosen to play in the top 4 instead of OSU.

9. Every year I seem to go against the 3 top Florida schools (Miami, UofF and FSU) and get my ass handed to me. I’ll never learn. (Though I did put a measly 4 points on #17 Florida this year and won that one)

10. The Rocky Bowl is rigged.
